The mission of this CAC High School Baseball Showcase is to bring Christ to our high school baseball players and help them to spread the Gospel of Christ through athletics. The goal is to give them real life examples of athletes and athletic opportunities that help them put their faith in action through baseball, while also competing at a high level.
There will be a Triple Header of Games at Athletes in Action in Xenia, OH for the opening Saturday of Ohio High School baseball, March 23, 2024. The schedule can be found below.
There will be opportunities for the players and families to attend Mass together on Saturday morning and Confession will be offered during games for fans.
In addition to hosting the games that will feature premier teams and top ranked players, we also will be hosting a special welcome dinner the night before the games. This dinner will share the importance of our faith in sports, focus on being a virtuous athlete, and feature a keynote speaker.
The keynote speaker for 2024 is former Dayton Flyer Craig Stammen. Craig is a member of the CAC Athlete Board, who spent 13 years in Major League Baseball playing for the Washington Nationals and San Diego Padres.
“When Stammen pitches, he knows that once the ball is out of his hands, everything else is out of his hands as well. More importantly, though, he realizes everything is in the hands of a God in whom he lives and moves and has his being.”
Discounted tickets are available for other Catholic High School teams and youth teams.
